Become a Mentor for FBM Market Makers
We’re on the lookout for a small number of brilliant creative minds to join us as mentors for FBM Market Makers – our Year 6 enterprise development project, proudly supported by Durham County Council.
Following a hugely successful pilot last year, we’re once again giving primary school pupils the chance to think like entrepreneurs, design and develop their own products, and bring them to market. To make this happen, we need mentors who can inspire, guide, and share their skills with the next generation of makers.
We’re especially keen to hear from crafters, designers, and artists who can bring a fresh perspective. This is a unique opportunity to support young people in discovering creativity, teamwork, and the excitement of enterprise.
A few important notes:
You’ll need to be available for a training day in early December.
Project delivery runs for 10 weeks from early January, with one morning or afternoon each week.
We only have space for a handful of mentors, and to ensure variety we can’t take everyone who applies – but we’d love to hear from people with different skills and approaches.
If you’re looking for something fun, meaningful, and a little bit different in the new year, this could be for you.
