Workshops

Practical, industry-informed sessions that develop skills and support Live Briefs.

TICE Workshops are designed to help students build practical skills and gain insight into how the creative industries work.

They can be delivered as standalone experiences or used to enhance Live Briefs, bringing ideas to life through hands-on learning and real-world context.

Workshops bring the learning into practice, helping students apply ideas, develop skills, and understand how creative work happens in the real world.

What Workshops Offer

Group of young people walking through a lush green garden or park, surrounded by dense foliage and flowering plants, wearing backpacks and casual clothing.
A classroom filled with students working on computers, a teacher at the front giving a presentation, multiple screens showing a digital artwork of a person in a yellow jacket in front of a blue background, large windows showing an outside view.

The focus of Workshops

Workshops focus on developing practical skills, introducing creative processes, and building confidence through doing. Delivered with industry context, they give students the opportunity to test ideas, experiment, and gain a clearer understanding of how creative roles operate.

Delivered with Industry

Workshops are often developed in collaboration with industry partners, giving students access to real-world perspectives and ways of working.

Recent collaborations have included projects exploring fashion communication, content creation, and creative direction, helping students connect their ideas to industry practice.

Supporting Live Briefs

Workshops can be used to enhance a Live Brief at key points in the process—supporting research, development, or final outcomes.

They help bring ideas to life and give students the opportunity to deepen their understanding through practical application.

Delivered in Schools and Partner venues

Workshops can take place in schools or within external creative environments, depending on the experience.

They are designed to fit within school timetables and can be adapted to suit different groups and settings.

beyond the buy

In Collaboration with TTM Management

This immersive fashion and content creation workshop (based on our licensed online project, ‘Beyond the Buy’) gives students the opportunity to explore sustainable styling, creative direction and visual storytelling in a professional studio environment.

Using pieces from their own wardrobes, participants learn how to create trend-led looks inspired by styles such as Y2K and Gorpcore, encouraging creativity, confidence and a more sustainable approach to fashion.

Students take part in pre-styling sessions, professional studio shoots, and collaborative creative exercises while gaining hands-on insight into careers across the creative industries.

plantopia

In Collaboration with english heritage

Plantopia is a hands-on creative workshop (based on our licensed online project, ‘Plantopia’) that encourages students to explore the connection between nature, fashion and digital design in the inspiring heritage site, Belsay Hall Castle & Gardens.

Through guided exploration and practical creative tasks, participants gather inspiration from the natural world to develop original fashion and visual design concepts. Students experiment with sketching, styling and visual storytelling before bringing their ideas to life through an AI-supported design project.

Alongside the creative process, the workshop highlights career pathways across fashion, design and digital creativity, while encouraging confidence, collaboration and creative thinking in an engaging real-world environment.
