Hello, believer in young creatives!
We’re so pleased you’d like to nominate a young person for a TICE Bursary.
This form is for parents, guardians, teachers or mentors who want to help a young person aged 14–18 living in the North East of England take part in a TICE Creative Project for free.
The TICE Bursary supports those who might not usually get the chance to explore their creativity.
We’re looking for enthusiasm, curiosity and potential, not grades or experience.
Your nomination helps us understand a bit more about the young person, their interests and why you think they would benefit from a creative opportunity.
Applications are open at any time throughout the year, but only 20 young people will receive a bursary each calendar year.
Eligibility
To make sure your nominee is eligible for the TICE Bursary, please check that they:
Are aged 14–18 years old
Live in the North East of England (Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham or Teesside)
Have an interest in creativity, design, media, fashion, photography, music, and illustration
Be able to commit time to completing your chosen project
They do not need to have studied art or design before. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, especially from those who have not had access to creative opportunities before.

After You Submit
Once your nomination has been submitted, our team will review it carefully.
We’ll contact the young person you’ve nominated to let them know they’ve been put forward for a TICE Bursary and invite them to complete a short follow-up form about their interests.
If the young person is selected, we’ll be in touch with both of you to share next steps and project details.
We may also contact you if we need any additional information to support their application.
