The TICE Bursary
Supporting creative potential across the North East.
Opening doors to creativity, one young person at a time.
At This is Creative Enterprise (TICE), we believe every young person deserves the chance to explore their creativity, no matter their background, circumstances or postcode.
Each year, we award 20 TICE Bursaries to young people aged 14–18 from across the North East of England, giving them the opportunity to take part in a full TICE Creative Project completely free of charge.
These bursaries are designed for those who might not otherwise have the chance to experience what TICE offers. This could be due to financial barriers, lack of awareness, or simply not having creative opportunities nearby.

Why we do this
Creativity changes lives.
The North East is home to so much emerging talent, yet too often, opportunity depends on circumstance.
Through the TICE Bursary, we are helping to level the playing field.
It is our way of ensuring that young people with potential, ideas and ambition have the space and support to grow, regardless of where they start.

How to apply
Applications are open at any time throughout the year, but only 20 young people will be awarded a TICE Bursary each calendar year.
You will need to complete a short online form telling us a bit about yourself and why you would like to be considered.
We will also ask for:
A short personal statement (around 150 words)
Contact details for a teacher, parent or guardian

Once your application has been received, our team will review it carefully.
If you are selected, we will contact you directly to confirm your bursary place and arrange your chosen TICE Project.
…Because everyone deserves the chance to create.
If you are a young person who has a spark of creativity and would love the chance to explore it further, this bursary is for you.
